It would be great to be able to draft an Event Email and have it scheduled send later.

I would like to follow up on this please. At the end of the instructions, it says:
"Once you have completed drafting your email, you can either send it yourself by click on on the Preview tab or you can contact a member of our support team and they can set up the Nightly Automation that will search and for events that fit your pre-set parameters and automatically send the email. "
It sounds like we can create the email, but we will need to contact the support team to get it automated. In other words, up to the step above, the email will not automatically send, correct?

You are correct. You would create the email. Once you have the draft ready to go, all you will need to do is contact Support and they will turn on the automation switch.
Keep in mind that the body of the email should be generic and can be used across all events (i.e. Box Office opens 1 hour before show time; Parking is located at 123 Main Street, Must bring a picture ID to pick up Will Call tickets, etc.). The detail of each event will be merged from the description that is placed on the event.
