Consider adding an option in Point of Sale module to NOT open the Cash Drawer for credit/debit card payment processing. Many cash drawers have a slot to use for collecting the receipts and does not require direct access to the drawer.
This would save wear-and-tear on cashier stomachs and the cash drawer slides.
