It would be great, with the new promo code developments, to have a report that pulls the individual codes that have been used, rather than just the general code.

We have made some changes in how you can pull the list of promo codes to determine usage. We now have an export option directly in the promotion settings page. This allows you to pull the full list of codes along with available quantities and ordered quantities. This list can then be edited and re-imported to adjust quantities if needed.
We have also made changes to the Customer Promotion Code Extract that pulls the code and quantity used along with details about the customer.
