Movie Database in the Agile Desktop Application

 

How to start using the Movie Database

1. Log in to the Admin in the Agile Application.

2. Open your Organization and navigate to the Settings folder. Choose the System Control node here.Image_1.jpg

3. Scroll down to the bottom of the System Control page. There you will see the Movie Database settings.Image_2.jpg

4. Here you can enable the database. But you will need to map the search fields to Custom Properties in the system before you can fully turn on the database. To do this click the Map External Properties button. This will open a new window with the mappable fields. The fields are shown below.

You are not required to map all of these fields to Custom Properties but if you need any additional fields you can learn how to create those additional Custom Properties here.

5. Once you have mapped those fields you wish to be able to add to Shows and set those you don't as such you can hit the apply button in System Settings. This will have enabled the Movie Database.

How to Use the Movie Database for a New Show

The Movie Database is only available for Show

1. Log in to Admin in the Agile Application

2. Go to your Show area.

3. Create a new Show.

4. Next to the External Name field there will be a search icon. Once you have entered the Name of the Show you will have a notification beside the search icon that tells you how many matches there were for that Name and you can click the icon to view those results.

5. Clicking the Icon will bring up a window where you will be able to view the results of the Movie Database search. You will be able to select the result here that best fits the film you are trying to create.

6. Once you have selected the result that best fits the Show you are trying to create you will be able to select what info you want to pull into Show you are creating. You can select 1 field, all of them, or any combination. It is important to remember that anything you choose to import from the Search will OVERWRITE any current corresponding contents in the Show and replace them with what is selected in the Search.Image_9.jpg

7. Once you have selected what fields you would like to import hit the OK button at the bottom of the window. This will close the window and add all the fields to the Show.Image_10.jpg

8. Check all the tabs in the Show and verify that everything was imported correctly. If everything is in order hit the Apply button at the bottom left.

 

How to Use the Movie Database for an Existing Show

The Movie Database is only available for Show

1. Log in to Admin in the Agile Application

2. Go to your Show area.

3. Open an existing Show.

4. Next to the External Name there will be a search icon. You can click the Icon and search for the Name and Year of the Show.

5. Clicking the Icon will bring up a new window, hit the Search button, and you will be able to select the result here that best fits the film you are trying to create.

6. Once you have selected the result that best fits the Show you are trying to create you will be able to select what info you want to pull into Show you are editing. You can select 1 field, all of them, or any combination. It is important to remember that anything you choose to import from the Search will OVERWRITE any current corresponding contents in the Show and replace them with what is selected in the Search.
