Digital Displays are Agile's all-in-one Venue display solution. Using Digital Displays you can set stationary concession displays, dynamic theater-specific displays and even full-size movie posters on a revolving list. Below we will explore the dynamic options and how to set them up.
For all of the following steps we will first need to log into the web portal.
Dynamic Display - Venue Information
This can be used to show your customers what is playing now and next in your various Venues.
Start by clicking on Settings and then Digital Signage.
In your Digital Display Entry Point Group click Add New Sign and select Info: Venue from the Info Category
On the new sign screen enter the Name and Display Group for this new sign, select the Venue you want to display, and then check the Include in Menu box. If the display group you need is not present in the dropdown you can click and type into the Display Group field to add it. Click OK to save and close this window.
Dynamic Display - Today's Showtimes
This can be used to display a day's worth of showtimes in the lobby or outside of the theater.
Start by clicking on Settings and then Digital Signage.
In your Digital Display Entry Point Group click Add New Sign and select List: Show/Event from the List Category
On the new sign screen enter the Name and Display Group for this sign and then check the Include in Menu box. If the display group you need is not present in the dropdown you can click and type into the Display Group field to add it.
On the List Details tab set the Display Type to Tiles. This will tell the system to organize Show information into rows of tiles. The Number of Tiles field lets us decide how many tiles will be displayed in each row. Date Offset lets you specify what range you want to pull and display information from. For just today's showtimes, leave Start and End at 0. By default none of the Modifiers are required but each adds information to the tiles such as the date and time of each Show.
The final step is on the Folders tab. Here you must select the folders you want the system to scan for events to display. All Folders will show all the Shows in your domain. To narrow the scope of events displayed, de-select All Folders and move specific folders from the Available to the Selected column. Hit OK to save your changes and create this entry point.
Dynamic Display - Showtimes for the Week
This can be used to display a week's worth of showtimes on your digital display.
On the List Details tab set the Display Type to MultiDayView. This tells the system to group Showings by Day. Date Offsets lets you specify what range you want to pull and display information from. By default none of the Modifiers are required but each adds information such as the date and time of each show.
Setup for organizing multiple days by date.
To organize a List: Show/Event by date when you would like to include multiple days use the following workaround.
Create an Event List using the above instructions for a week. On the List Details tab select Sort by Date.
DO NOT include this sign in your menu on the General Tab.
Copy the link you now have using the two blue pages and click OK to close this window.
Click Add New Sign again select External Link under Other.
For the Link URL paste the one you just copied from the Show/Event List. At the end of what you've pasted, type "kw=kw-all" as seen below. Include this link in your menu.
When using the ATS Digital Signage app, select the External Link to display. If you need to edit the items or format of the list, adjust the properties of the Event List.
